You Can Only LOVE The Christmas Colour Collection 2011 from Guerlain

There is just no way to look at this collection without being completely swept away by the sheer beauty of it. I have to give Guerlain credit for this completely out of the box collection. The colours are not conventional and it couldn’t be any more perfect. It’s so refreshing to see a collection that is truly unique amid the golden shimmer powders and red nail lacquers. Keep reading for more photos of this amazing collection.

Naturally, I have to begin with the Parure du Soir Pressed Powder & Blush ($76). Though Guerlain is known for luxe goods, they’re definitely what I call splurge-worthy. This powder contains 4 subtle shades to unify and illuminate the complexion with a satiny finish. I recommend using this powder on the cheekbones, nose and temples. It’s perfect for catching the light and giving your entire face a gorgeous healthy glow.

Météorites Perles de Nuit ($66) is perfect for giving the skin a very specific luminous glow. The blue/green “meteorites” counter redness, the pink add a healthy glow, the pale pink evens out the complexion, the white illuminates while never looking pale, the champagne reflects light and the gold adds even more radiance to the skin. As you can imagine, combined together, the results are stunning.

Écrin 4 Couleurs –10 Les ombres de Nuit ($66) is a seductive eyeshadow set that is perfect for the holidays. The illuminating shade on the left, combined with the dark blue and green shades of the season can make for only one thing: sultry eyes. Kim Kardashian‘s old school smoky eyes are noting compared to this!

To complete the ideal holiday look, you’ll need some lip colour. Rouge Automatique ($40) comes in two fabulous shades for the evening. With the soft glow the rest of the Guerlain collection will give you, intense lips will look absolutely gorgeous.

If more subtle lips suit your taste better, then you won’t want to miss out on Rouge G de Guerlain –Jewel Lipstick ($50). It’s a timeless, luminous shade that you,ll absolutely love the feel of. The Guerlain Christmas Colour Collection 2011 is available at select Guerlain counters.

How much are you loving this collection? Which items would you allow yourself to splurge on?
