As startling as this may seem coming from a beauty blogger, I am not a fan of salon facials. Don’t get me wrong, I can name a few good ones for those who truly enjoy the facial experience, but I personally can’t stand some stranger’s bare hands rubbing all over my face. It’s just very unsettling to me and I prefer to give myself some much-needed pampering at home. Find out why I am now officially obsessed with the Clarisonic Mia 2 and why you will be, too.
I exfoliate my skin regularly and I do my best to take good care of it – as best as anyone with a newborn in the house can! Skin care tops my priorities list in the beauty department and since receiving this little gem from Clarisonic, my routine has changed for the better. The Clarisonic Mia 2 ($175) albeit a pricey tool, is really worth the splurge. Salon facials are not cheap and this is a one-time investment in your skin that really does work. Oprah has even declared this item as one of her famed “Favorite Things.”
The Mia 2 has two speeds and you can also purchase two separate brush heads for delicate skin or deep pore cleansing. In just 60 seconds, this tool can remove six times the amount of makeup from the skin than regular cleaning. I know you think you remove your makeup just fine with makeup remover or soap, but the truth is, you don’t. Makeup gets lodged deep in the skin’s pores and if not properly removed, causes breakouts.
Aside from effective skin care, this product is also a mini spa retreat. I love – I mean LOVE – spa days. But with a two-month-old baby boy, a getaway to the spa is a little harder to plan. Add sleep deprivation to that and pampering oneself becomes next to impossible. The Clarisonic Mia 2 feels amazing while deeply cleansing my skin and really gives me a moment of decompression when I need it most. Plus, my skin feels cleaner than ever after I use it. Kind of makes me feel like I just wasn’t cleaning my skin properly without it!
The Clarisonic Mia 2 is available in white or pink and comes with a traveling case. Are you interested in giving it a try?
