    The Perfect Summer Eyeshadow Palette

When summer finally gets here and we actually start getting a little colour, we’re going to want to maximize on it! To enhance a tan, I always opt for a shimmering bronze eyeshadow or something in the gold tones. Another great colour choice is something vibrant because it adds to the luminous look of a sun-kissed glow.

Estée Lauder has just released the Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Island Oasis Eyeshadow Palette ($50) and I think it has the perfect combo of spring/summer-friendly colours that are sure to enhance a glowing complexion. Every year, the Bronze Goddess collection releases the best summer makeup.

The palette is limited edition so that means you need to get a move on. Head to an Estée Lauder counter near you this weekend and look for this palette. The iridescent shades like Gold Bronze and Pink Teal are a must this season.

    Fake it with Estée Lauder

I don’t know about you, but for me, this is the time of year when I really start to realize how pasty my skin has become over the long winter. Thoughts of summer clothes are flooding my brain but thoughts of pale skin suck the fun right out of it.

When I have a tan, and have a habit of only wearing makeup that enhances and flatters it. Esteé Lauder’s Bronze Goddess collection is chock full of tan-enhancing products. Here are some of my faves.

Let’s start with the Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Bronzing Gel ($34.50). It’ll brighten up your face and give your skin a radiant finish. It’s a great product because the effect is natural and, above all, totally safe. I love me a nice tan but baking in the sun for hours on end is also a great way to score premature wrinkles and possibly even more serious skin damage.

The gel is a shimmering, hydrating cream that’s great for tinting the skin. Just be sure you don’t apply too much and you blend it well into your neck and chest area as well. Then, I would suggest opting for powder bronzer like the Bronze Goddess Soft Duo Bronzer ($40). Apply it with a brush because you just want a touch of colour to highlight your skin. You can also go with the Luminous Liquid Bronze ($34.50) if you prefer working with liquid products. I think that would be best dabbed on with a makeup sponge.

Once you’ve got your bronze on, highlight your eyes and lips with the right colours. My personal fave is coral anything! It’s the perfect complement to sun-kissed skin.

Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess collection has two coral lip colours. You can go for the Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Exotic Lip Gloss in Wild Coral ($21) if you like a shiny finish (I loves it!) or select the Pure Color Gloss Stick ($21) for a more natural look. Then it’s time for shimmering eyeshadow. The Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Liquid EyeShadow in Aqua Flash and Sand Shimmer ($20) are great choices.

What are your fave bronzing products?
