Already an accomplished fashion designer, Charlotte Ronson has taken to the beauty industry with a new collection that just launched exclusively at Sephora. When asked about her collection, Charlotte said she wanted to create something for women who love beauty but don’t necessarily want a complicated beauty routine. She designed this collection for the simple yet positively chic woman who adores being on trend but doesn’t care to spend her day achieving runway-worthy looks. Read on for more details and photos of the collection.
3x A Charm Bronzer, Blush and Luminizer Trio ($28) – Blush, bronzer and illuminating powder all in one compact. This is a can’t-miss.
This new Lancôme collection only comes out in mid-September but I couldn’t wait to show you the goods. Some fall collections have already started making their way to beauty counters so as much as my brain isn’t ready to process the idea of fall beginning once again, I am more than ready to start sporting the new makeup collections now.

OPI has just launched Nice Stems, a new collection of four limited edition pink nail polishes in different shades and finishes ($10.95 each).
What do you think of these pink polishes? My personal favourite is Play the Peonies, a super soft pink hue that really fits in well with the spring’s trends. I also think it’s also understated and elegant.
How do you feel about these pink nail colours? Which are your faves?
MAC is always surprising us with new collections but my favourites tend to come out during the spring and summer months. That’s the time of year when we’re all looking to revamp our looks and add adhere to the all-new, ultra-covetable trends. Fashion Flower has just hit MAC counters but these gorgeous products aren’t expected to be on shelves past June — if they make it ’till then!
Lipgelée ($17.50 each) has got me falling in love with gloss in a lipstick world! Perfect for summer, these feminine and flirty glosses are jam-packed — and I mean just loaded! — with glitter. Did they make this collection just for me? I’m really into Now In Season, a pale yellow dazzling lip gloss. With the usual long-lasting power that is MAC and a colour that’s simply irresistible, spring is looking hotter than ever this year. I like to pair this golden gloss with matte, neutral eyes and a touch of bronzing powder on the hollows of the cheeks. So sexy for summer.
For the girl who loves to get her coral on, Budding Beauty had got your name all over it. The rich coral shade will easily make your lips the centre of attention this spring. It’s perfect for looking effortlessly chic yet is still totally glam.
For the ultimate girly girl, you can’t afford to miss out on Fashion Flower, a pale shimmering pink that will highlight your pout and give them a sexy finish. I love this colour for the season’s illuminating, dewy look. Add some highlighting powder to your cheeks and just like that, you’re ready to hit the road.
If you’re loving these glosses as much as I am, run to your local MAC store and snag one of each before they’re all out.
Viva Glam is one of my favourite MAC collections because, as you probably already know, 100% of the sales from these products are donated to the MAC Aids Fund. Lady Gaga is definitely known for her fight for human rights so it’s no surprise she’s back with MAC working on this amazing initiative.
The collection itself includes a lipstick and lipglass ($17.50 each) in a hut nude shade inspired by the award-winning singer herself. I personally think a nude lip colour is a must-have for everyone so this collection is timeless as far as I’m concerned. Your shade of nude may vary depending on your skin colour but since this particular Viva Glam nude is a little darker, I would say it should suit most skin tones.
Head to a MAC counter near to you today to get your first pick on the products. While shopping for your favourite MAC goodies and expanding your coveted makeup collection, you’ll be helping to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women, men and children around the globe.
The Lady Gaga Viva Glam Collection launches today (online, too) and will be available for you until February 2012.
On a side note, does Gaga not looking amazing in this campaign photo? I hardly recognized her without an eggshell surrounding her or ginormous glasses covering up her face. The soft, understated look is a good one for her. Me like!
I realize that I’m an adult but I can’t help but be completely mesmerized by MAC’s latest funky collection: the Wonder Woman Collection. For those of you who grew up watching the show, you won’t be able to keep your hands off these goodies. In addition to the usual top-quality products you’d expect from MAC, this spring 2011 collection carries this adorable slogan: “Wonder Woman: She Kicks Sass.” How could you not love?
Launching February 10, 2011 (and only expected to last until April 2011), the collection will include all of your favourite MAC essentials: lipstick, lipglass, eyeshadow palettes, nail polish, metallic cosmetic pouches, Mineralize Skinfinish Powder (my to-die-for product), pigment, blush, brushes, false lashes and one of my personal faves, an extra-wide brush mascara for shockingly voluminous lashes.
The collection focuses on the hottest trends of the year with a mix of berry tones, nude hues and a dash of bold and vibrant colour. There’s something for everyone. Here are a few photos of the collection so you can get a head start on planning your wish list:
It wouldn’t be an official new year kick off without the mention of MAC‘s newest limited edition collection sated to hit counters this Thursday, January 6. Known as the Master of Modern Bollywood, Mickey Contractor (MAC‘s Director of Makeup Artistry for India) has created a collection that I think fits into just about every girl’s bare essentials category.
While bold colours are hot this season, offsetting vibrant hues with nudes and taupes is oh-so-trendy for 2011. Only available till February, this amazing collection has me speechless…well not too speechless for a blog but you catch my drift.
The campaign images for this collection are absolutely breathtaking. The neutral palette, natural glow and seemingly perfect complexion have me awaiting January 6 a little too eagerly. I think I’m going to buy up this entire collection because apparently, my extensive MAC makeup collection (among other fab products) isn’t enough. Obsessed? Probably, but who could blame me?
I think the Lipglass in Nude ($17.50) is first on my list. The creamy dirty brown shade is perfect for offsetting heavy eyes which is a whole other obsession I have. To get that perfect looking glow, I’m definitely going to need Select Moisturecover Concealer ($25). It’s ideal for covering nasty zits, red patches, tiny flaws and the ever-so-hated under-eye bags. To get the pictur perfect look seen in the campaign shots above, you don’t need to invest in Photoshop. Just opt for this creamy, long-lasting concealer and top it off with a foundation and light layer of finshing powder (for the dewy look).
Are you as anxious to try out MAC + Mickey Contractor as I am? Which products are dying to snag? Eyeshadow, blush, concealer, lipstick, the oh-so-covetable lipglass?
To celebrate the opening of the new Christina Aguilera film, Burlesque, also featuring Cher and Kristen Bell, OPI is releasing a brand new nail colour collection this month which is just perfect for the holiday season.
“The colours were modeled off the majestic glamour, over-the-top costumes and mesmerizing Cabaret that are typically seen in Burlesque performances,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, the Executive VP & Artistic Director for OPI. The dazzling nail lacquers are jam-packed with glitter and shimmer, making them holiday-ready, too.
With shades of blue, purple, green, orange, gold, deep reds and pinks, this ultra-glamorous collection has something for everyone. My personal favourite is Tease-y Does It, a seductive burgundy polish bursting with glitz and glamour. (I am slightly obsessed with red nails this month!)
I don’t recommend sporting red and green from head-to-toe for the holiday season (really tacky!), but a classic deep red is always suitable for the occasion. Not to mention that this season, deep red lipsticks and nail polishes and the ultra-vamp trend are hotter than ever.
The Burlesque nail collection, featuring 12 uniquely shimmering polishes will be available in professional salons and spas starting this month for $10.95 each. For more retail info, visit www.opi.com. The film, starring Christina Aguilera and Cher will be hitting theatres November 24.
