    At-Home Wax that Works…and Won’t Make a Mess!

With summer on the horizon, all we can think about are soft, smooth legs. Personally, I think waxing your legs is a great way to go because the hair gets thinner and grows back slower than with shaving.

However, I am well acquainted with the perils of at-home waxing. Spills, burns – you name it and I’ve definitely experienced it. But then I met Andrea Professionals Water Soluble Cold Wax ($13.99), the first cold wax I have ever liked and currently the only.

Included in this amazing kit are 10 wooden spatulas for easy application, one jar of cold wax, 10 long waxing strips for the legs and 10 short ones for areas like the upper lip. I tried it out a few days ago and was literally amazed. The hair came out the same as it does when I use hot wax and because it’s cold, there was absolutely zero spillage. No mess!

Just glide on a super thin layer of wax (which I swear smells like green apple!) and peel off with a cotton strip. The hair comes out perfectly and it’s impossible to burn yourself!

I’m also a big fan on the new SloGrow Lotion (included in this kit). I have been using it for a week so far so no definitive results to share yet, but this product is supposed to slow down your hair’s growth to keep your legs smoother and hair-free longer.

If you want to try it out for yourself for FREE, take the SloGrow Challenge online. I’ll be sure to share my results in 30 days, just before summer officially kicks off. Until then, get your hands on this Water Soluble Cold Wax kit to get smooth legs in a flash!

    Salon-worthy wax for less

I’ve been waxing for a long time. The results? Amazing. The cost? Not so hot. It can cost as much as $20 just to wax your upper lip in a salon, even though you only need about an ounce of wax to get the job done (I’m exaggerating but it’s a ridiculously small amount.) I’ve taken the pro salon route and now I’m using Andrea Professional and I’m so glad I made the switch. Especially since the summer is on its way. Time to get bikini-ready.

Andrea Professionals is actually the largest supplier of waxes and hair removal products to salons in Canada so the products are sure to do the trick. I’ve been using the Brazilian Hard Wax for Sensitive Skin and it yields salon-worthy results at a fraction of the price. It’s also really easy to use and virtually mess-proof which is a huge plus for me. (I’m somewhat clumsy.)

Just pop the jar in the microwave for a few minutes and use the disposable applicators to spread the wax on small and sensitive areas like your upper lip or bikini line. The best part is that you don’t need any paper! Just let the wax harden for a few seconds, grab one end of it and peel it right off. There’s no sticky residue so there’s no clean up. If you spill some on the counter, just wait for it to harden and peel it right off.

The Sensitive Skin Formula also means minimizing redness and irritation after. The kit also comes with a small tube of pre-waxing oil. It makes the the wax easier to peel off so it minimizes pain. The Sensitive Skin Formula also means minimizing redness and irritation after. Of course, waxing is still waxing. It’s not a pleasant feeling but you’ll love the silky smooth, salon-worthy finish.

My personal tip: Apply some aloe vera gel to the areas you wax to prevent redness if you’re skin is super sensitive.

Andrea Professionals products are available in drugstores for about $10.
