Argan 6 Oil from REDKEN – Just WOW!

On Tuesday night, I went to Enrico Coiffeurs Stylistes (2310 Ontario E., Montreal) to try out some new products from REDKEN. To give you some background info on this pic (that’s me and Enrico below), the products I was there to try were hydrating products for damaged hair. For a fine-haired gal like me, this usually translates into flat, lifeless hair, but as you can see, my ‘do has some texture and body! (Yes, that’s body for me!) Read on to find which hot new REDKEN products have got me head-over-heels!

Blonds Only Have More Fun if Their Hair is Looking Good

Everyone seems to want to be blond, especially for the summer. But if there’s one thing I despise, it’s blonds with washed out hair that is anything but shiny and glamorous. More than with most other hair colours, blonds need to keep their colour from fading because a faded blond is just nasty.

To keep your blond locks looking their best this summer, turn to one of my favourite salon brands, Schwarzkopf Professional. Their line of BLONDME hair products are designed specifically for your pale hair. Whether it’s hair care or styling, everything you out into that hair should be safe and recommended for blonds.

Start with the Blond Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner ($16.25 each) for bleached or coloured blonds. The products aim to enrich blond, improve clarity and revive the coloured pigments in the hair so your ‘do always looks red carpet-ready.

If you have flat blond hair, you want to be careful which products you turn to for volume. Product build-up can show since your hair is so light. Stick to BLONDME Volume Miracle Cream ($19.95) for volume that lasts without damaging your colour.

If you want to keep your hairstyle in place, try the BLONDME Glorious Hold Hairspray ($17.95). While helping you achieve the perfect hairstyle, it will also protect your hair from UV damage, humidity and colour fading.

These amazing new products will be hitting select salons this month. For more info on where to fin them call 1-800-463-3081 or email:

REDKEN and ONEXONE Hair Cut-a Thon This Week!

I love when beauty (which is obviously my favourite subject) meets charity. Most of us take for granted how fortunate we are so when events like this come around and remind us to give back to those in need, I am eager to spread the word.

I don’t have to tell you how fantastic REDKEN products are, right? Salon-quality products are always a must for gals who want fabulous hair. But aside from their great products, REDKEN is one of my favourite brands because they participate in events like this.

The ONEXONE Cut-a-Thon, together with Share the Warmth Montreal, are launching a new project today. From September 27 to 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. you can have your hair cut and blow-dried for only $8, plus a donation of your choice, to raise funds for child poverty. There is no better feeling than knowing you have contributed to helping a child in need.

If you’re due for a cut or just want to get your hair done for the fun of it, please visit École Des Métiers Des Faubourgs-De-Montréal (2185 Ontario Rue E). No appointments necessary.

Congrats to the fabulous companies working together on this great cause. Thanks in advance for your help. Feel free to share this blog post and get the word out.

Joico: Hair Products for a Cause

Not like we need any more excuses to purchase hair products, but Joico is releasing two hair product sets that will not only work wonders on your locks, but support Breast Cancer Research.

Starting at the end of the month, you can purchase Joico’s JoiMist Firm Classic aerosol spray duo ($30) or the JoiWhip styling foam duo ($30) in hair salons. The products are professional quality so that explains why you’ll only find them in salons. You’ll actually get 25% off the retail price by purchasing one of these sets, plus, you’ll be helping Joico donate $10,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

My favourite part about the hairspray is that it protects your hair against sun damage. Even in winter, sun damage is a risk! UV rays harm your skin and hair all year long so do what you can to protect yourself.

If your locks are a little on the damaged side, I suggest opting for the styling foam duo because it’s an alcohol-free product which contains Hawaiian Kukui nut oil, known for its healing properties.

Get luscious hair AND support a great cause. Kudos to Joico for helping out. I urge all my readers to join the fight against cancer, in whichever way you choose. Just remember that every penny counts and there are people across the country who are in desperate need of a cure. We can all help.

Have a fabulous day, beautiful people!
