Cuteness Strikes Again: Hello Kitty Summer 2012

I keep telling myself I don’t need to add another Hello Kitty palette to my already-too-large collection, but they just keep getting cuter and cuter. I am in love with the Hello Pretty Eyeshadow Palette ($43). Check out the gorge summer shades after the jump.

Say Hello to 2012 with Some Hello Kitty

I generally have spring on the brain, even though the weather out there doesn’t really help me with that. Before the holidays I started receiving samples of the spring collections and although this particular Limited Edition Hello Kitty Noir Eyeshadow and Lip Gloss Palette (on sale for only $34) isn’t a spring goody, the shades within it scream spring 2012. Read on to find out which beauty trends are all the rage for the upcoming spring.

Brand of the Week: Hello Kitty

It’s so hard to narrow down my fave brands because quite frankly, I love all beauty products more than the Kardashian family loves the camera! But if I had to choose a fave this week, I’d have to go with Hello Kitty (available at Sephora) since I’ve been playing with these summer cuties for the past few days. Here’s a look at some of my favourites. Are these products not too cute for words?

My ultimate obsession is Hello Kitty Rollerball Eau de Parfum ($23). This compact perfume is perfect for traveling but at the rate I use it, I won’t have any left by the time I head out on my next vacation. I love scent and the rollerball bottle makes it easy to apply and 100% mess-free.

I’m also really making great use out of this Hello Kitty Charmmy Eyeshadow Stick ($21) in Friendship. This shimmering light beige has the perfect metallic finish. I love using it on the brow bone to highlight. Just glide it on and smudge with a fingertip.

I’m into cream blush these days because they last longer than traditional powder blush and I just love the Hello Kitty Apple Cheeks Blush ($29). It’s great because all you have to do is smudge it on your cheeks and then blend with your fingertips, just like the eyeshadow. This makeup is great for gals who are makeup brush-challenged and want a pretty look in 5 minutes or less.

And because I’m such a nerd, I actually wear this baby pink polish JUST because I love the bottle! Hello Kitty Liquid Nail Art ($13) is available in the absolute cutest shades ever. I’ve got Frosted Cupcake, the sheer pink with silver glitter pictured above, but I’m also a fan of Bubblegum, Blueberry and Purple Sprinkles. I bring out my inner girly-girl with this collection!

Which Hello Kitty goodies are your favourites this summer?

Is This Hello Kitty Palette Not Super Adorable?

I know, I’m a sucker for the cute and the adorable! Put it in a pretty package and I’m sold! This Limited Edition Hello Kitty earthy palette is called Memoirs of a Kitty ($46). Even the name is cute.

Inside, you’ll find my favourite springtime shades. The neutral eyeshadows are everything we saw on the runways at fashion Week. The nude trend is as trendy in the makeup as it is in clothing. I also love the sparkling brown shade that can be used as a liner to complete the natural look, or as a crease shadow for an evening-worthy gaze.

Under the shadows are two awesome powder blushes. There’s a rose blush and a peachy one. While the pinkish hue is super pretty, I’m so feeling peach bush this summer. I’ve become obsessed with it in the past two weeks, for some reason.

You can snag this cutie palette at Sephora starting in May but it will only be available for a limited time.

Sephora Launches Adorable Hello Kitty Collection

Regardless of what the weather outside is saying, spring is in the air and I’m 100% ready for it. After yesterday’s Wonder Woman by MAC post, I figured I’d keep the momentum going with another equally adorable and altogether irresistible collection. If you’re a Hello Kitty collector or just an average makeup junkie, you’re going to love this.

When it comes to the lips, the Hello Kitty Collection combines pretty with practical. All three of the new lip products are extra-hydrating and extra tasty. Made with ingredients like Candelila wax, strawberry and grapeseed extracts, your lips will remain hydrated and smooth all day long and in case you need a touch-up, you won’t mind packing one of these adorable products with you.

    Sweet Gloss ($21)

    Apple Balm ($12)

    Big Smile Gloss ($21)

If you’re a gal who loves to emphasize your eye makeup, the eyeliner kit and eyeshadow palettes are right up your alley. The velvety smooth colours are extra pigmented and long-lasting. Plus they’re easy to carry with you anywhere you go and come complete with an adorable Hello Kitty motif. (Do you not just love the eyeshadow palette below?)

    Charmmy Kohl Eyeliner Kit ($36)

    Say Hello Palette ($46)

For the nail polish aficionado, you’ll want to flaunt one of spring 2011’s hottest trends: pastel nails. With a high-shine finish, UV protection and this totally adorable bottle, I think I need all seven of the available shades!

    Liquid Nail Art ($13)

And these items don’t even need explanation. They’re super cute and they have topped my must-have list. A mirror adorned with Swarovski crystals? Do I need this? Of course. I can hardly wait for the Hello Kitty Collection to hit Sephora stores on January 27. Which of these products are you itching to get your hands on?

    Brush Set with Holder ($64)

    Handheld Mirror ($46)

    Bling Compact Mirror ($59)

    Rollergirl Eau de Perfume ($23)
