Lancôme‘s Artistic Director for Makeup, Aaron de Mey showed off the brand’s newest and most covetable items at fashion designer L’Wren Scott‘s New York Fashion Week show.
As you can see, Aaron gave the models intense eyes, flawless complexions and natural-looking lips. I think the smoky eye is absolutely perfect. I always love a touch of light, shimmering makeup in the inner corner of the eye. It gives the dark trend a soft look by illuminating the eye.
To get this runway-worthy makeup look, Aaron used a mix of classic Lancôme products and some fab new ones that won’t hit stores until fall 2010. (I can hardly wait!) For the flawless-looking complexion, Aaron used Teint Idole Foundation and Shu Uemura‘s Loose Powder in Colorless for a smooth finish. (FYI, Shu Uemura is opening up a counter at Holts here in Montreal later this month and I’ve been invited to the unveiling. I’ll be sure to snap lots of photos for you to see.)
For the season’s nude lips, Aaron used L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rich Cashmere and topped it off with La Laque Fever Gloss in Sensation. The gloss is an all-new shade for fall and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
For the smoky eye, Aaron used the classic Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony and Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black. For the eyeshadow, he used two fall 2010 products: Ombre Magnétique in Black and Ombre Magnétique in Silver. These are definitely making my fall 2010 makeup must-have list.
Lancôme also customized a blue-grey metallic nail polish for L’Wren Scott’s models. From what I’ve seen so far, the metallic shade is going to be hot for fall 2010. No word as to whether or not Lancôme plans to bottle and sell this exact colour just yet. Stay tuned for more info. I’ll keep you posted as soon I hear anything. Fingers crossed!
