Get Your Legs Soft & Sexy This Summer With Luscious Embrace

I’m not sure where Olay ranks on your list of top beauty brands but if isn’t up high, it should be! If you’re a frequent reader of this page, you’re just as addicted to beauty products as I am so you’ll probably love the new line of Luscious Embrace goodies as much as I do.

I have to start with the Luscious Embrace Body Wash ($6.99 – $10.99) with Jojoba Butter and Crushed Orchid Extract. This ultra-luxurious lotion smells as divine as it sounds and I’m such a huge fan of it. If orchids aren’t your thing, you can try the Silk Whimsy Rose Extract & Almond Oil scent instead. Equally as fabulous! This body was is so nourishing and it feels so smooth on the skin. It really fills up your shower and bathroom with its sweet smelling aroma and I swear it can put you in a better mood.

After showering, I can’t stop using the Body Lotion ($6.99 – $10.99). It’s a very light cream with a whipped texture to it yet it’s super hydrating. It doesn’t leave skin greasy either, which is often the case with scented lotions. This one absorbs quickly and leaves just a slight aroma behind. I love it. But then again, I’m addict who moisturizes my skin twice a day every day!

With summer coming up, I have to urge you to try this out. No summer outfit looks good with dry elbows, knees or feet. (OMG, the dry feet drive me crazy!) Pick up these amazing budget-friendly goodies at a drug store near you today!

Olay Cleansers are Giving Me Fabulous Skin

My new favourite skin care products are these amazing Olay 2-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths. They’re super soft pieces of fabric that have dried soap in them. So all you have to do is wet them and just like that, you’ve got a foamy wash cloth. I loves these wipes because they really clean up the dirt that’s deep down in the skin and at the same time, they exfoliate.

I’m an exfoliating nut! It’s the best way to keep your skin glowing all the time. Plus, it helps get rid of dry, cracked skin, blemishes and those annoying little blackheads. I’d recommend these for anyone with oily/combination skin. I have some oily spots but the rest is dry and these work perfectly for my skin and they really clear up the T-zone.

If you have shiny skin, you need a remedy for that. As summer approaches, that shiny skin problem is going to get worse. Don’t think makeup alone will solve that problem. To bring down the shine, try the Olay Shine Control Lathering Cleanser. This product will help balance your skin’s pH and make shiny skin a thing of the past.

If your main concern is acne, then go for the Olay Acne Control Face Wash instead. It deeply cleanses the skin, treats breakouts and prevents future breakouts.

Olay is one of my favourite brands because it’s easily accessible, wallet-friendly and the products really work. Don’t be sucked in by fancy ads. More expensive products aren’t necessarily better. Head to a pharmacy near you to pick up one of these skin-saving goodies.

Holiday Gift Idea: Make Your Own Beauty Basket

The holidays can sometimes have you stumped for gift ideas. Often times, we’re at a complete loss for the perfect gift. But what if the perfect gift was really several gifts? I love the idea of making your own Christmas baskets. All you have to do is get yourself a wicker basket at the Dollar store, fill it with tissue and load it up with products your gift receiver needs and uses.

A gift doesn’t always have to be some huge surprise. Giving the beauty-addicted gal a basket full of goodies shows thought. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to open people up to new products that they may otherwise never try on their own.

Makeup baskets are always good, but I’m a big fan of skin care baskets. It’s the most important part of our beauty routines yet it’s the part most people pay the least attention to.

I love this cute Olay Gift Set ($12.99 — pictured above). It comes with a cleanser, toner (very important!) and a face washcloth. It’s affordable, useful and actually essential. I have this set myself and it makes my skin look and feel clean and fresh in no time.

A basket only works if it has several products, so use your imagination and add a few more goodies you think your gal pal might need. I’m a sucker for the Olay Thermal Pedicure Treatment ($15.99 — pictured above). It’s an amazing product that hydrates the feet during the harsh winter weather. Hard, dry feet? Not hot!

This holiday season, don’t wrack your brain thinking of what ONE gift will please your friends and family. Put a touch more effort and make your own basket…and keep your budget happy at the same time.

What would you want your gift basket to include if you received one? Give me the deets on what you would like your basket to include in the comments below and I may just send it to you. Happy holidays!

Support Breast Cancer Research with P&G Beauty Products

You know those essential P&G products we all gravitate toward at the pharmacy? This month, purchasing some of those very products will not only be satisfying your own needs, but helping a greater cause. P&G is working hard to help support the fight against breast cancer by donating the proceeds from sales of some of your favourite products to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Olay Creme Ribbons Body Wash ($4.99) is one of my favourite items. It lathers the skin in a rich, luxurious feeling. Plus, it contains almond oil to help soothe dry, irritated skin and replenish it with moisture. It doesn’t hurt that this product smells incredible, too.

The number one deodorant on the market? Secret. It’s an essential item the majority of women opt for, including myself. Secret Invisible Fresh Effects ($3.49) goes on dry and won’t flake or turn white. The fresh orchid scent is really just an added bonus to this effective, wallet-friendly buy.

For all you non-waxers, a razor is a must. The Venus Embrace with Showerpod ($15.99) is a razor pack that includes replacement blades and a cute showerpod to hold your razor. With its moisture ribbon, this razor guarantees a close burn-free shave. All these products (and more) can be found at your local pharmacy.

    Why Support?
Let me explain a little bit about why this is so important. Many people don’t see the link between beauty products and breast cancer research. The fact is that 47% of breast cancer survivors make use of beauty products to help themselves feel beautiful during a difficult time. Aside from the physical strain of the disease, the strong women who battle it every day have to deal with the emotional stress that comes along with it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but feeling beautiful lies within each individual woman. Every woman wants to feel beautiful in her own way and cancer treatments rob that from women all over the world every day. We can help give it back to them by supporting brands like P&G who donate funds to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society, aimed at helping suffering women battle this disease and all the trials and tribulations that come along with it.
