I Think They’re Running Out of Hair Trends in Hollywood

I have to think that Hollywood has run out of trends for their stars because lately, I ain’t liking the extreme measures I’m seeing some stars go to for a new look. Kate Bosworth was recently spotted with the tips of her hair dyed blonde and Katy Perry has apparently been “transitioning” from black for the last few weeks and is now walking the streets with pink locks. What do i think? Keep reading to find out!

Skin Care Secrets from Hollywood’s Expert Molly Walsh

Thanks to my lovely friends over at The Body Shop, I got the chance to meet with facialist to the stars, Molly Wash. Straight from L.A., Molly met with me at The Body Shop store on St. Catherine in Montreal and gave me her ultimate skin care tips. If her techniques are good enough for her celeb clients like Halle Berry, Brooke Shields and Amanda Peet, then they’re good enough for me!

Molly first tip is to never go to sleep with your makeup on. Never ever!Every single night, you should wash the day’s makeup, oil and dirt off before heading to bed. Nighttime is when our skin cells regenerate. If the pores are clogged with dirt, your skin will look dull and greasy and you’re likely to get way more breakouts. For cleansing the face, I really like Natrulift Softening Facial Wash ($14). It’ll cleanse your skin thoroughly without drying it out. It’s also enriched with whole pomegranate (not just pomegranate extract like most products). As you know, this fruit is loaded with antioxidants so not only will you be keeping your skin clean and healthy but you’ll be preventing premature wrinkles, too.

Molly also recommended exfoliating every day. That’s the second most important skin care tip ever. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and stimulates the renewal of new ones. And with the dry, coarse outer layer removed, your glowing and radiant skin underneath can shine through. After exfoliating, it might be a good idea to balance your skin’s pH with a gentle product like the Natrulift Softening Toner ($14). Balancing your skin will keep it from drying out in certain areas after exfoliation.

To maintain your skin’s beautiful glow and keep it looking it’s best, opt for daily moisturizer day and night and don’t leave out the delicate skin underneath your eyes. Try the Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Contour Cream ($20). Eye cream is super important if you want to keep that area from developing premature wrinkles and if you want your entire face to look more vibrant.

    Celebrities Without Makeup

It may be disappointing to some but there are tons of celebs out there who actually look pretty much just like the rest of us. There are definitely some celebs who shouldn’t be caught dead without their faces on, but here are a few surprisingly still good looking stars even without pro makeup.

Jessica Biel: Is it just me or does this woman actually still look gorgeous? Yes, makeup enhances and evens skin tone and she definitely looks better on the red carpet than here, but she doesn’t look terrible. Makes me hate her a little bit.

Kim Kardashian: I have recently become a Kardashian Reality TV addict. I find myself watching every episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami and Kourtney & Kim Take New York on an almost daily basis. (It’s insane, I know.) I love to see Kim’s great makeup on the show and her fabulous outfits. When the cameras are off and she’s just walking the streets of LA without the help of a makeup artist, she looks a little more like this. I can’t say she looks awful. When I saw this photo, it actually made me feel better. I’m not the only one who has a few flaws on my face. And flaws don’t necessarily mean she looks bad. Less glam, yes, but not ugly. I think she still looks purty. Stars are people, too and they have the same issues we do. If they can walk the streets looking “normal” so can we.

Cameron Diaz: I am a huge Cameron Diaz fan. I think she’s a fantastic actress. However, without makeup, she doesn’t look her best. Then again, most of us don’t. I’m actually happy that she looks normal because it shows everyone that even Hollywood’s most beautiful people are just people. It also reminds me that makeup is a life-saver so naturally, that makes my blog an essential tool for women everywhere ;-)
